30 Minute Microlight Flying Lesson at Henstridge

This experience will last a total of approx. 60 minutes, with approx. 30 minutes spent in the air. (We don't compromise on your time in the air. When comparing us with others, check the small print and the time actually spent in the air.)

There are two types of Microlight aircraft - Weight shift and 3-axis - and this voucher can be used in either. The 3-axis looks like a small light aircraft, with side-by-side seating, the flexwing looks like a hanglider with the engine on the back and you are sitting outside so the team will supply you with protective clothing. You can use either, just tell them when you arrane the date and time of the flight.

Microlight aircraft are an increasingly popular and affordable way to enjoy light aviation, and our Microlight Trial Lesson allows you to experience the thrill of flying: it will even count as the first step towards your Private Pilot's Licence.

The trial lesson is preceded by a short flight briefing with our instructor who will explain all aspects of the flight including the effects of controls and how a microlight flies.

The student will then be allowed to take the controls and actually fly the aircraft! The weather plays an important part in all forms of flying, but Microlights are a little more susceptible to the elements than other forms, so please bear that in mind.

Contrary to popular belief, the wintertime can be the best time to fly in the UK, OK it's cold, but we can wrap up against that. The difference is the stability of the air, cold crisp winter days are the best, saying that though, last thing on a summers evening can be just as enjoyable.

Special Conditions

Maximum weight is 15 stone (95 kg); maximum height is 6' 4" (1.93 m).

Minimum age is 14 years (adult supervision required on airfield premises for under 16's).

Each voucher entitles one person to participate in this experience. The voucher is transferable, which means that anyone can use it. The voucher remains valid for bookings for 9 months from the date of purchase. Please contact the operator using the details printed on your voucher to arrange a date for your event.

We recommend that you purchase your voucher and make a booking for your event at least one month prior to your chosen date. This is particularly important for weekend events.
