YOU in the cockpit!
This experience will last a total of approx. 90 minutes, with approx. 60 minutes spent in the air. (We don't compromise on your time in the air. When comparing us with others, check the small print and the time actually spent in the air.)
A trial flight is the first step every pilot takes. This could be the realisation of a long awaited dream, or it may be the first step towards a new career.
Whichever it is, all trial flights are structured to get you flying the aircraft with an instructor, and to give you an introduction to the flying experience.
On arrival you will be greeted by your instructor and there will be a short pre-flight briefing. The details of the flight are quite flexible and you can discuss the journey and where you might like to go.
There will be opportunity to take photographs in the aircraft and once you are safely strapped in you will line up for taxying for take-off.
The flight will proceed in a relaxed, but professional manner with an ongoing briefing and explanation about the effects of each flying control, (ailerons, flaps, and rudder) and how you will use them in flight.
Once airborne you will be given the opportunity to undertake a large part of the actual flying.
All our aircraft are fully dual controlled and the instructor will carefully monitor your progress. It is a very satisfying experience and you will be surprised at just how much you can do.
However, it is completely up to you, if you do not feel like taking control of the aircraft, just say so, there is no pressure and your instructor will happily remain in control.
At the end of the lesson you will return to the airfield and your instructor will land the aircraft. There will be a post-flight debrief after the lesson to discuss what you have learnt and any future plans.
You may wish to take in the views of the North Wales Coast or fly over your house to take a photograph.
If you decide to train for a PPL your trial lesson will count towards your flying hours so don't forget your logbook.
