across the UK with
YOU in the cockpit!
This experience will last a total of approx. 2 hours, with approx. 90 minutes spent in the air. (We don't compromise on your time in the air. When comparing us with others, check the small print and the time actually spent in the air.)
On arrival you will receive a warm welcome from your instructor and have a short pre-flight briefing (15-30 minutes) during which you will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have and discuss the route that you will be flying and where you will be landing for a short break.
Then it's out to the aircraft for a quick walk round before being safely strapped in ready for flight. Sitting side by side with your instructor you will be given a headset so that you can listen in on pre take-off calls to the Tower.
Then it's time to take to the skies for your introductory lesson. Once airborne you will be given the chance to take the controls under the supervision of your instructor if you wish to. Try for yourself a few gentle turns or just try to keep it straight and level!
On the return flight you will be given the chance to take put into practise all they have learnt. The return journey will go quickly and soon it will be time to line up for landing but hopefully you will have a had an experience to remember.
After the flight you will receive a personalised certificate of flight to show your friends.
Imagine skimming past the clouds and watching the ground slide by, you'll find the views from our 3-axis microlight are wonderful so don't forget your camera.
Friends and family are welcome and the airfield has excellent facilities to sit and wait for you to return. The licenced club house also serves snacks and meals.
The airport has two tarmac runways so is more likely to be usable when the weather is not so good than grass airstrips which can get waterlogged.
Maximum weight 105Kg (16 stone)
Maximum height 6'5".
