If you are serious about learning to fly then this is for you - a landaway at another airport means two take offs and two approaches - an excellent insight into learning to fly.
After a warm welcome from your instructor and a short safety briefing during which you can discuss where you will be flying, you will walk out to the apron and get into the aircraft. Like all high wing aircraft the C42 is pretty much like getting into a car.
Once safely strapped in you will be able to listen to the tower giving you clearance to taxi and then take to the skies.
Once airborne your instructor will demonstrate the controls and then you will get chance to take the controls and fly the aircraft yourself.
You will be flying to another airfield for a sandwich and a coffee with your instructor - chance to talk over the flight and ask any questions that you might have. After a briefing for the return flight you will be taking off again. During the flight home you will be flying the aircraft whilst your instructor takes care of the radio - talking to Air Traffic Control
The full duration is expected to be between three and a half and four hours of wich two to three will be in the air.
Possible destinations include York; Carlisle and Edinburgh but decision will be made by the instructor on the day taking weather conditions into account.
Friends and family can wait for you in our pilot's lounge which has great views of the runway and apron.
Free wifi and refreshments also available.
This time can be logged in your logbook and will count towards the hours needed for your Pilot's Licence (NPPL) should you wish to continue your training.
