You will be welcomed to the Flying School by a member of staff who will introduce you to your CAA Qualified Flying Instructor.
Your Trial Flying Lesson begins with a pre-flight briefing with your Instructor who will explain the effect of controls, the route you will be taking and the airfield you will be landing away at. Then it is out to the aircraft for walk around checks. On the outward leg you will spend approx. 60 minutes in the aircraft including taxiing, take off, straight and level flight, turns and landing. Once in the air and, under the supervision of your instructor, you will take control of the aircraft and fly the plane yourself!
Upon landing there will be a short debrief by the Instructor and then it's back to the aircraft again for the return flight, once again spending approx. 60 minutes in the aircraft including taxiing, take off and landing.
Once back at Liverpool you will be presented with a Certificate of Achievement and, should you decide that this is the hobby for you, the time you have flown on your Trial Lesson will count towards the hours needed to gain your Private Pilot's Licence.
Family and friends are welcome to watch you take off and land - we have an outside picnic area which has great views of the runway. Light refreshments are available and free of charge.
