Spotlight on the trial flying lesson
Trial flying lessons in a light aircraft To start your aeroplane trial lesson, you'll meet your instructor
and they'll take you through what is going to happen during the flight. This
might involve the use of a little aircraft to demonstrate the controls in the three axes (pitch, roll, and yaw),
because the first lesson is all about the simple matter of steering the aeroplane and in a few minutes
YOU'LL BE DOING IT. At this stage, if you have particular places you'd like to fly over, such as your house,
you should mention it to allow it to be planned for. More....
Helicopter trial flying lessons On arriving for your first helicopter trial lesson you will
be introduced to your instructor who will then explain to you, in reasonably simple terms, how a helicopter
works and what each of the main controls do. He or she will also explain how you will be handed the controls
and allowed to try them for yourself during the flying lesson. It is particularly important that you take notice of
the helicopter safety aspects, but remember, your instructor has 'done this before', and will have flown with many
novices and have a good understanding of both your concerns and your enthusiasm. More....
